My name is Cathie Ingram and I am writing to request some assistance. My husband and I have three-year old twin daughters and we live in Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, a few months ago my husband was laid off from his job and because of that unforeseen incident, we have fallen behind on our rent. We are grateful that he has found full time work again, but the time he was unemployed has caused a financial hardship on our family. In an effort to avoid eviction, and as a last resort, we are reaching out to area churches to see if there is any type of financial assistance available non-members. We are behind $475 and we realize this is a lot of money and it may be hard to come up with it all at once, but any amount would help tremendously and be greatly appreciated. We realize that you are probably overwhelmed with requests similar to this one, but like I said, anything you might be able to offer us would help relieve some of the stress that we are currently enduring.
Because of our current financial situation, we’ve had to disconnect our home and cell services until we can get back on our feet. We hope to have those services restored soon, but in the meantime, if you wish to have a phone conversation, I would be happy to call you during a break or lunch hour at work.
